Students in the CANE Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program are taught how to use the nursing process tocollect and organize pertinent health care data, as well as to aid in the identification of clients' health needs and issues across the life span in a variety of settings. Under appropriate supervision, the entrylevel licensed practical nurse is prepared to coordinate and provide care while contributing to the plan for nursing interventions to meet the needs of clients with predictable health problems that occur during the life span. Graduates of the LPN Program earn a Diploma and are eligible to sit for the LPN licensure examination (NCLEX-PN). Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to take the NEXT GEN, NCLEX-PN, a test that is necessary for you to begin your career as an LPN. Those seeking admission to the LPN Program should select a petitioner category as their program for admission at the school.
