Clarisse Bethel obtained her bachelor's degree in accounting from Cameroon before relocating to the United States in 2009, having recently been widowed and seeking enhanced educational opportunities for her six children. Upon her arrival in America, she switched careers, earning various nursing certifications, including a CNA, medication technician, LPN, an associate degree in nursing, a Bachelor of Science in nursing, and a master's degree in nursing with a focus on education. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing in educational leadership in nursing.
Over the past 22 years, Clarisse has had a successful nursing career and established her healthcare business. In 2009, she founded First Healthcare LLC, a home care business in Maryland, which she managed for eight years. As a skilled nurse entrepreneur, she expanded her business into Loudoun County, Northern Virginia, where she encountered a nursing shortage. Driven by this challenge, she opened a Nurse Aide program in March 2015.
Clarisse, who is multilingual, owns and serves as the Program Director of Clarys Advance Nursing Education (CANE), offering diverse programs such as Nurse Aide, Medication Technician certification, and LPN. Her Nurse Aide Program was the first private nursing school in Loudoun County and received the Best of 2019 Educational Institutions award. Clarisse is currently working on introducing additional programs to the institution to ensure top-quality care for the county's senior citizens and residents.
